Mother, Traitor, Lover: A Tale of Three Mestiza Spirits

The following is parts one and three of Graciela's first ever one woman show, in which she uses dance, storytelling and poetry to bring to life three incredible mestiza women using dance, storytelling and poetry.   The first video focuses on Gloria Anzaldua, the second focuses on La Malinche's story.  This show will be on tour throughout the southwest starting in October. 

    The mission of the piece is 1) To inspire young Latina women to think outside the box and imagine greater possibilities to transcend societies limited expectations of Latina women. 2) To spread a greater awareness about these important historical figures who are left out of many traditional history books. 3) To inspire people to get in touch with their cultural and historical backgrounds.
